The Adventures of PopTart and Bean: Animals in Heaven
PopTart and Bean were sitting under the big oak tree in their backyard, flipping through a picture book filled with animals. The colorful pages were bursting with lions, tigers, and playful kittens.
“PopTart,” Bean asked, pointing to a page with a cuddly lamb, “do you think there are animals in heaven?”
PopTart thought for a moment, her eyes lighting up. “I think so! The Bible gives us some clues about it.”
“Clues? Like what?” Bean asked, her curiosity growing.
“Well,” PopTart said, flipping open her notebook where she kept her favorite Bible verses, “there’s a verse in Isaiah 11:6 that says, ‘The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.’ That sounds like animals to me!”
Bean’s eyes widened. “So, lions and lambs will be friends? That sounds amazing! But what about pets? Will they be there too? I miss Sparky!”
PopTart smiled. “You know, Jesus said in John 14:13-14, ‘And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.’ So, if we ask God to have Sparky in heaven, I believe He’ll answer our prayer.”
Bean hugged her stuffed bear tightly. “I hope he's there. He was the best dog ever.”PopTart nodded. “Me too. And remember, heaven is a place where there’s no sadness. It’s better than anything we can imagine.”
“Even better than having a pet lion?” Bean asked with a grin.
PopTart laughed. “Definitely better. But having a pet lion would be pretty cool.”
“PopTart, do you think heaven has enough space for all the animals?” Bean asked.
PopTart grinned. “If God can fit all the stars in the sky, I’m pretty sure He can handle a few animals.”
Bean giggled. “A few? I bet heaven is going to have a whole zoo! I want to slide down a giraffe's neck!”
